3 Day Camp for Ages 7-11
Day 1: Exploring Abstract Art
Campers will be introduced to abstract art through mark making, color theory, and creative expression. Each student will design and paint their own canvas tote bag to take home — a functional piece of art they’ll be proud to use all summer long. Once totes are complete, students will enjoy open-ended watercolor painting to continue exploring color and creativity.
Day 2: Farmers Market Printmaking
Students will discover the magic of printmaking while creating farmers market–inspired gift wrap, greeting cards & bookmarks. This session focuses on creativity through sustainability, as campers learn how to recycle and reuse everyday materials as art tools. We’ll use fruits, vegetables, and recycled containers as stamps to create unique prints. After completing their works of useable art students will enjoy additional watercolor free-paint time.
Day 3: Collage and Junk Journaling
Get ready to cut, layer, and create! Campers will explore fun techniques using painted papers, colorful scraps, and all kinds of unique embellishments to bring their pages to life. From textures and patterns to personal touches, they’ll design a one-of-a-kind junk journal full of creativity and imagination. Everyone will head home with their own journal to keep adding to and decorating all summer long! ✂️🎨✨
