2 Day Art Camp for Kids Ages 4-6

Day 1: Exploring Abstract Art
Campers will be introduced to abstract art through mark making, color theory, and creative expression. Each student will design and paint their own canvas tote bag to take home — a functional piece of art they’ll be proud to use all summer long. Once totes are complete, students will enjoy open-ended watercolor painting to continue exploring color and creativity.
 
Day 2: Farmers Market Printmaking
Students will discover the magic of printmaking while creating farmers market–inspired greeting cards, bookmarks and frame worthy works of art. This session focuses on creativity through sustainability, as campers learn how to recycle and reuse everyday materials as art tools. We’ll use fruits, vegetables, and recycled containers as stamps to create unique prints. After completing their cards & bookmarks, students will enjoy additional watercolor free-paint time.
